Application

MP3 is waterproof, windproof and breathable protection against electric arc, flash fire and heat stress hazards. MP3 is the lightest weight, most versatile protective Nomex® outerwear system available today. With innovation, versatility and value, you no longer have to choose between comfort and safety. MP3 is your protective outerwear solution. The garment range offers NFPA 70E PPE CAT 2 and NFPA 2112 protection.

Application: Well Servicing, Drilling Rig Operations, SAGD, Heavy Oil, Oil Refining and Processing, Pipeline Construction and Maintenance, Offshore Oil and Gas Drilling and Oil and Gas Extraction.

  • Electric Arc (ASTM F1891, NFPA 70E PPE CAT 2), Flash Fire (ASTM F2733, NFPA 2112), Chemical Splash (ASTM F903), Breathability/Comfort (ASTM E96, ASTM F1868), Waterproof (ASTM D3393) and Cold Weather (ASTM F2732).

  • Fabric – Nomex® IIIA Outer Shell – Yellow or Navy; ePTFE composite moisture barrier; Nomex® Jersey Knit Inside.

  • Finished fabric weight – 265gsm/7.5oz Electric Arc and Flash Fire Resistant.

    • Yellow ATPV 9.3 cal/cm2

    • Navy ATPV 9.7 cal/cm2

  • Removable fleece liner options:

  • 2 needle stitched and sealed with Nomex® tape.

  • 3M™ 9720 Scotchlite™ 2” (50mm) reflective tape.

  • Water and windproof - provides resistance to water penetration and protects workers from the elements.

  • Stain and soil release - allows garments to remain clean.

  • Breathable and lightweight - reduces worker heat stress.

  • Multi-year life cycle - reduces overall program cost.

  • Designed with premier features - maximises worker functionality.

  • Electric Arc Resistant - does not melt, drip, ignite or break open. Minimises burn injury from an electric arc flash.

  • Flash Fire Resistant - does not melt, drip, ignite or break open. Minimises burn injury from a hydrocarbon flash fire.

  • Chemical Splash Resistant with Steam and Hot Water Protection - minimises burn injury from splash exposure of certain chemicals.

  • Options - NASCO has the ability to create high quality images using silk-screening, single and multi-colour heat transfers and reflective logos using 3M™ Scotchlite™ Technologies. Camera-ready artwork is necessary for price quotes. There will be a charge for artwork designs unless camera-ready artwork is provided.
