Application

A rampart is ‘a defensive wall of a castle or walled city’. For the industrial workplace worker, it means having a shield or defensive barrier to protect not only against inclement weather but the thermal hazards associated with electric arc and flash fire.

Rampart FR™ is designed for long-duration rain events but is perfect for every day foul weather conditions. The Rampart FR™ Pant/Trouser in conjunction with the Rampart FR™ Jacket, combine exothermic and endothermic moisture management systems to be an outstanding foul weather tool.

Rampart FR™ provides the wearer with an electrostatic dissipative shell in combination with a Polartec® Power Dry® FR moisture management layer. This combination of layers includes superior arc ratings and flash fire results using the Rampart FR™ zonal protection design.

Application: Gas and Electric Utility Transmission and Distribution, Telecommunications and CATV, Storm Restoration, Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Switching and Meter Service.

Electric Arc (ASTM F1891, NFPA 70E PPE CAT 2), Flash Fire (ASTM F2733, NFPA 2112), Electrostatic Dissipation (EN 1149-5), High Visibility (ANSI 107 Class 3 Level 2), Breathability/Comfort (ASTM E96, ASTM F1868), Waterproof (ASTM D3393) and Cold Weather (ASTM F2732).

  • Finished fabric weight (Fluorescent Lime Yellow) - 472gsm/13.95oz.

  • Fabric - ExoGuard 296gsm/8.75oz.

    • Moisture Barrier - Breathable Urethane Composite

    • Inner Layer - Polartec® Power Dry® FR 176gsm/5.20oz (around Trouser bib and back)

    • Electric Arc ATPV - single layer 13 cal/cm2; with liner 22 cal/cm2

    • Flash Fire - 11.7% total body burn

  • Options - NASCO has the ability to create high quality images using silk-screening, single and multi-colour heat transfers and reflective logos using 3M™ Scotchlite™ Technologies. Camera-ready artwork is necessary for price quotes. There will be a charge for artwork unless camera-ready artwork is provided.
