NASCO MP3™ 

MP3™ is waterproof, windproof and breathable protection against electric arc, flash fire and heat stress hazards. MP3 is the lightest, most versatile protective Nomex® outerwear system available today. With innovation, versatility and value, you no longer have to choose between comfort and safety. MP3™ is your complete outerwear solution. The system provides NFPA 70E CAT 2 and NFPA 2112 protection.

The MP3™ outer shell system is DuPont™ Nomex® Essential on a PTFE moisture barrier, while an inner layer of Nomex® Jersey knit provides the wearer with increased thermal protection. Nomex® Essential is a blend of Nomex® (93%), Kevlar® (5%) and P-140 Static Carbon Dissipative fibre. The P-140 fibre has a conductive carbon black core covered in a protective polyamide sheath.

  • Fabric - Outer Shell: Nomex® Essential, Inside: Nomex® Jersey Knit.
  • Moisture Barrier - PTFE.
  • Finished Fabric Weight - 265gsm/7.5oz.
  • Seam Construction - 2 needle stitched and sealed with Nomex® tape.

  • ASTM F2733 Flash Fire - 3.82% 2nd degree, 6.55% 3rd degree, Body Burn 3 second test exposure with 2 cal/cm2 heat flux.
  • ASTM E96, ASTM F1868 - ASTM E96 results MVTR = 10,000 g/m2/24hr, modified desiccant method. ASTM F1868 results THL = 579 w/m2. 
  • Options - NASCO has the ability to create high quality corporate images using ink silk-screening, single and multi-colour heat transfers and reflective logos using 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective material.
