UltraSoft® FR/AR Industrial Shirt

Westex® UltraSoft® excels as a flame resistant, arc rated barrier because it combines a high-quality, durable cotton and high tenacity nylon blend with proprietary engineering that ensures flame resistance for the life of the garment. It is designed to maximise safety, comfort and wear life through a soft-feel finish, excellent abrasion resistance and double-shrunk technology, making it a preferred choice for arc flash and flash fire protection.

About UltraSoft® Care Guide Fabric Selection

 

UltraSoft® FR/AR fabrics are a blend of 88% cotton and 12% high tenacity nylon. The nylon fibres are intimately blended with cotton fibres in the warp yarns. These fibres are spun using ring-spinning technology to produce the highest strength fabric possible. The fabric is engineered to focus the excellent abrasion resistance of the nylon on the face of the fabric to enhance garment wear, while the cotton fibres are focused towards the skin to optimise comfort.   

  • Electric Arc (ASTM F1506, ASTM F1959, NFPA 70E CAT 2), Flash Fire (ASTM F1930, NFPA 2112, CGSB 155.20-2000), Molten Ferrous Metal Splash (ASTM F955).
  • Composition – Durable FR Cotton (88%), HT Nylon (12%).
  • Fabric/Weight - Twill Weave 237gsm/7.0oz, 305gsm/9.0oz.
  • ATPV - 237gsm/7.0oz 8.7 cal/cm2, 305gsm/9.0oz 12.4 cal/cm2 (ASTM F1506).
  • Body Burn - 237gsm/7.0oz 16.1%, 305gsm/9.0oz 8.3% (ASTM F1930).
  • Colours – Medium Blue, Navy, Hi Vis Yellow. Hi Vis Yellow AS/NZS 4602.1 compliant for daytime high visibility use.
  • SKU: 0301S237 - FR/AR Shirt (237gsm/7.0oz).
  • SKU: 0451S305 - FR /AR Shirt (305gsm/9.0oz).
  • Long sleeve, gusset cuff to prevent burn injuries by eliminating exposed skin around the wrist.
  • Single button placket or full button opening front, both with collar button for closure when exposed to electric arc and flash fire hazards.
  • Additional 100mm length in shirt tail to prevent exposure of lower back.
  • Bigger block fit for comfort and mobility.
  • Two button down chest pockets with mitred corners with LHS pen division.
