APPLICATION: Arc Flash, Flash Fire, High-Risk Industrial, High Visibility Environments.

Fabric Composition

Westex® DH: Is NFPA 2112 certified and NFPA 70E compliant, making it an excellent choice for arc flash and flash fire protection. With its uniquely woven blend, Westex® DH provides outstanding breathability and optimised moisture management to keep workers cooler, drier and more comfortable. Westex® DH also retains an excellent after-wash appearance, with a low propensity for pilling and is ANSI 107 (High Visibility) certified. When recommended laundering guidelines are followed, Westex® DH provides consistent FR/AR protection over the life of the garment.

FR Cotton Blend: the principal component is flame resistant Cotton specially treated and designed to offer protection in high-risk industrial environments, while maintaining the comfort of natural fibres. It works by forming a protective char barrier that self-extinguishes when the flame source is removed, ensuring it does not continue to burn, melt or drip. When exposed to heat, the flame retardant chemicals catalyse the fabric's dehydration and carbonisation process. This causes the fabric to form a stable, non-flammable char layer instead of burning or melting into a liquid. This char layer acts as a protective, low-permeable barrier that prevents oxygen reaching the fabric and stops heat from reaching the wearer's skin.
