Fabric: 250 Denier Polyester
250 Denier Polyester fabric is a mid-weight, durable synthetic material, commonly used in applications requiring a balance between strength, flexibility and weight. It is a strong but not excessively heavy or stiff material, making it ideal for PPE workwear applications. It is highly water resistant, wrinkle resistant and offers excellent UV resistance.
Features and benefits of 250 Denier Polyester include:
- Optimal balance of strength and weight.
- Superior UV resistance.
- High water resistance and quick drying.
- High dimensional stability.
- Durability and crease resistant.
- Reinforced with ripstop technology.
- Cost-effective and versatile.
Moisture Barrier: Polyurethane
Once applied to the substrate, Polyurethane forms a seamless, elastic and vapour-permeable layer over the surface. This layer acts a protective barrier that prevents liquid water from entering the substrate while still allowing vapour to escape. This breathable function is important because it prevents moisture (perspiration) from becoming trapped, which could lead to the wearer's workwear becoming uncomfortably damp and/or wet. In extreme cold conditions, this effect could cause a worker to become hypothermic. Today, microporous polyurethane coatings are advanced, breathable and waterproof materials designed with a porous structure, making them ideal for protective outerwear. They offer high water-vapour permeability for comfort, excellent hydrostatic properties and strong durability.
