The Polartec® FR Nomex® Fleece Jacket / Liner is manufactured from Polartec® Thermal Pro® FR Midweight Double Velour / Nomex® fabric and adds a range of multi-functional benefits to our ArcWear™ and PetroWear™ ranges. The Fleece has the versatility to be worn as a stand-alone FR/AR Jacket or incorporated as a removable Liner for the ArcWear™/PetroWear™ Omega FR™ and PetroWear™ MP3™ Jackets. Designed with comfort in mind, this electric arc and flash fire resistant Fleece Jacket maintains a level of safety consistent with high-performance FR/AR clothing programs. The Fleece Jacket is soft and versatile, provides worker comfort and is multi-functional.

APPLICATION: Electric Utilities, Oil and Gas and General Heavy Industry for on-the-job protection against electric arc, flash fire, extreme heat and pool fire.

Fabric: Polartec® Thermal Pro® FR Double Velour Dual Hazard / Nomex® Blend

Polartec® Thermal Pro® fabric functions by using specialised knit structures and high-loft polyester yarns to create air pockets that trap body heat, providing superior insulation without adding significant weight. As an advanced evolution of synthetic fleece, it is engineered for maximum thermal efficiency, durability and breathability.

At temperatures above approximately 427°C (800°F), Nomex® will simply form a very tough carbonaceous char, which is the essence of its fire protective mode of action.
