Westex® DH (6.0oz / 220gsm)

Westex® DH is certified NFPA 2112 and NFPA 70E, making it an excellent choice for arc flash and flash fire protection. With its uniquely woven blend, Westex® DH provides outstanding breathability and optimised moisture management to keep workers cooler, drier and more comfortable. Westex® DH also retains an excellent after-wash appearance, with a low propensity for pilling and is ANSI 107 (High Visibility) certified. When recommended laundering guidelines are followed, Westex® DH provides consistent FR/AR protection over the life of the garment.

Composition: TENCEL™ Lyocell / Modacrylic / Aramid

Fabric FR/AR properties are not visible, so you must verify the performance of your FR/AR apparel. Having an FR/AR daily work wear program that meets NFPA 70E and/or is certified to NFPA 2112 is a necessary starting point, but there is a vast disparity between fabrics that comply with NFPA 70E and NFPA 2112. For example, since all fabrics with less than 50% body burn can be certified to NFPA 2112, it is important to know the actual body burn percentage of the ASTM F1930 test.

Westex® DH is certified to NFPA 2112 providing 8.8% - 35.3% total body burn (respective to the specific weight) under the ASTM F1930 test. In addition, Westex® DH 6.5oz/220gsm is certified NFPA 70E with an ATPV of 8.9 cal/cm2
