Double Layer Inherently FR/AR Fleece (14oz / 949gsm)

The 28oz/949gsm double-layer flame resistant fleece used in the DRIFIRE FR/AR Double Layer Full Zip Hoodie is composed of a 14oz FR fleece outer shell paired with an identical 14oz FR fleece lining. The fleece is engineered from an inherently flame resistant blend of 55% Modacrylic and 45% Cotton. The specialised fabric is designed so that it will not melt, drip or ignite when exposed to high-heat or open flames.

Performance Ratings and Compliance

Arc Rating: The fleece offers a 50 CAL thermal performance level.

PPE Category: Certified as PPE CAT 4, which is the highest standard safety level for electrical arc flash protection.

Dual-Hazard Protection: Purpose-built to protect against both arc flash and flash fire simultaneously.

Compliance: Fully compliant with NFPA 70E (Arc Flash), UL certified to NFPA 2112 (Flash Fire), ASTM F1506, CSA Z462 and OSHA 1910.269.

Description: The DRIFIRE® FR/AR Double Layer Fleece Hoodie provides simultaneous dual-hazard, CAT 4 protection against arc flash and flash fire. Fully lined with two layers of fleece, this durable Hoodie is made to keep you comfortable while working in harsh conditions.

Product Care

Read the garment label and launder per instructions on garment label.
Machine wash warm on maximum 60°C (140°F). Use mild detergent. Tumble dry on medium setting.
DO NOT iron, use chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, fabric softener or starch.
Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain fabric performance when the garment becomes soiled with dirt, grease or oils.
If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of the garment.
