About DRIFIRE® FR/AR Hi Vis

Inherently FR/AR Lightweight Knit Fabric (6.95oz / 235gsm)

DRIFIRE® Inherently FR/AR Lightweight Knit Fabric is a highly flexible, interlocking fabric structure engineered specifically for flame resistant base layers and next-to-skin tactical gear. Unlike rigid woven FR/AR fabrics used in outer Coveralls or heavy Jackets, the material is knitted to provide multi-directional stretch, breathability and soft texture, while providing permanent flame resistance that cannot wash or wear away. 

Because the fabric is a knit, the fabric loop structure naturally moves with the body, maximising agility and skin-level comfort. It is manufactured using a patented blend of inherently non-flammable synthetic and organic fibres.

Modacrylic Fibres (75%): The foundational synthetic copolymer that causes the knit to self-extinguish when exposed to flame, ensuring it will not melt or drip onto the skin.

Lyocell Fibres (15%): A natural cellulosic fibre blended into the knit structure to optimise exceptional skin softness and moisture regulation.

Polyamide/Nylon (10%): Interwoven to provide high tensile strength, ensuring the elastic knit structure retains its shape and resists tearing during physical strain.

Description - This High-Performance Hi Vis Knit Work Shirt is a premium, inherently FR/AR garment designed for high-risk industrial environments. The fabric is soft, moisture wicking and highly breathable. It provides FUZE odour control technology to reduce body odour and maintain freshness. The inherently FR/AR knit fabric combines maximum protection with athletic-style comfort and compliance.

  • NFPA 70E for Arc Flash, UL Certified to NFPA 2112 for Flash Fire, High Visibility ANSI/ISEA Type R Class 3, ASTM F1506 for Arc Flash, CSA Z462 for Arc Flash (Canada), OSHA 1910.269.

NSA Measurement Guide

  • Read the garment label and launder per instructions on garment label.
  • Machine wash warm on maximum 60°C (140°F). Use mild detergent. Tumble dry on medium setting.
  • DO NOT iron, use chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, fabric softener or starch.
  • Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain fabric performance when the garment becomes soiled with dirt, grease or oils.
  • If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of the garment.
