NSA Eldorado Welding Jacket

FR/AR High Heat FR Rayon, Para-Aramid and OPF Fibre Blend (ASTM F1506 Arc Flash)

Since 1935, National Safety Apparel has been a leader in delivering advanced safety solutions for workers in high heat and industrial environments. NSA's extensive range of USA-made PPE includes protective workwear for workers facing extreme heat, arc flash, flash fire, molten metal, cut and abrasion hazards. Whether in foundries, mills or industrial manufacturing, NSA solutions are designed to safeguard workers in the toughest environments.

National Safety Apparel (NSA) provides a comprehensive line-up of high heat flame resistant and arc rated personal protective equipment specifically engineered for extreme thermal industrial hazards. This specialised technology features a distinct division between primary aluminised protection, such as their proprietary CARBON ARMOUR™ line and secondary high heat workwear.

Built to safeguard personnel in foundries, steel mills and heavy manufacturing plants, these garments shield wearers against intense radiant heat, accidental contact heat and devastating molten metal splashes. By utilising innovative, multi-layered material composites, the apparel successfully blocks high-calorie thermal energy transmissions without drastically increasing physical bulk. The range spans complete head-to-toe coverage, incorporating aluminised apparel, robust welding Jackets, FR/AR Workwear and an assortment of high heat gloves lined with aluminised backing and tough leather palms.

National Safety Apparel's 8.5oz FR Rayon, Para-Aramid and Oxidised Polyacrylonitrile Fibre (OPF) blend fabric is a premium, inherently flame resistant textile meticulously engineered for extreme thermal environments. Frequently featured in heavy-duty personal protective equipment, this specialised material utilises a precise multi-fibre composition to deliver top-tier safety. The inclusion of high-performance para-aramid fibres yields exceptional tensile and tear strength, ensuring that garments resist premature wear and puncture during rigorous physical tasks. Simultaneously, advanced carbon-based OPF fibres maximise thermal resiliency, greatly reducing heat transfers through the weave to keep the wearer safe from hazardous thermal energy and intense welding spatter.

Despite its robust defence mechanisms, this 8.5oz blend stands out for its high level wearer comfort and compliance. Compliant with stringent ASTM F1506 standards for arc flash safety, the fabric provides robust, permanent heat and flame protection that will never wash out or degrade over time. The integration of FR Rayon provides essential breathability and a lighter feel relative to its high protection class, making it ideal for daily TIG/MIG welding operations where mobility is key. By masterfully marrying technical ruggedness with ergonomic comfort, NSA's advanced tri-blend fabric ensures that industrial professionals remain cool, flexible, and completely shielded from severe flash fire and electrical arc hazards.
