GlenGuard FR/AR Entwined Ripstop (6.1oz / 207gsm)

The FR/AR capabilities of GlenGuard's 6.1oz Entwined Ripstop fabric combine extreme, heavy-duty durability with permanent, multi-hazard protection. Engineered using a specialised blend of aramid and modacrylic fibres, this fabric achieves a reliable 9.8 CAT 2 arc flash protection rating, boasting a 17% total body burn prediction rating for protection against flash fire. Unlike standard workwear, the proprietary "entwined" Ripstop construction uses a tight, box-like grid pattern that blocks punctures, cuts or abrasions from tearing open the garment. 

Because the protection is baked directly into the solution-dyed core of the threads, the fabric's flame resistance and colour vibrancy will never wash out, fade or weaken over time. The fabric maintains a high level of breathability and utilises GlenGuard's proprietary Wickzz™ moisture-management technology to pull perspiration away from the body ensuring workers stay cool, comfortable and protected against intense heat from either arc flash or flash fire.

Wickzz™ Technology

Perspiration happens. And when it does, GlenGuard's Wickzz™ Moisture Management System™ solves the problem. GlenGuard's technology wicks moisture away from the skin and then disperses the moisture across the fabric, allowing it to quickly evaporate and dry.

Description - Built for lightweight performance without compromising durability, this Pant is designed to handle tough conditions with ease. With ultra-durable ripstop fabric it resists wear while staying light and comfortable all day long.

  • Read the garment label and launder per instructions on garment label.
  • Machine wash warm on maximum 60°C (140°F). Use mild detergent. Tumble dry on medium setting.
  • DO NOT iron, use chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, fabric softener or starch.
  • Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain fabric performance when the garment becomes soiled with dirt, grease or oils.
  • If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of the garment.
