APPLICATION: Arc Flash, Flash Fire, High-Risk Industrial Environments.

Westex® UltraSoft® Basketweave (8.5oz / 288gsm)

At 8.5oz, Westex® UltraSoft® in Basketweave hits the 'sweet spot'. It is heavy enough to feel protective and block intense heat, but light enough so workers do not overheat during intense summer work. The fabric delivers CAT 2 protection with an arc rating of 11 cal/cm2, meaning it  easily clears the safety threshold for arc flash and flash fire without requiring bulky, multi-layered clothing. Most FR daily uniforms use a plain or twill weave. The Basketweave is different. It uses a distinct over-under pattern that gives it a rugged, canvas-like look. It looks premium and holds its structure well without looking wrinkled. The Basketweave structure naturally distributes pulling forces and friction, making it significantly tougher and less likely to rip than standard weaves of the same weight.
