Westex® DH Air™ (5.5oz / 186gsm)

Westex® DH Air™ is a premium, lightweight FR/AR textile that provides all the amazing characteristics of Westex's classic DH lightweight fabric line. It is an excellent choice for arc flash and flash fire protection, providing superior breathability and moisture management, while maintaining colour consistency for the wearer. Weighing only 5.5oz/186gsm, Westex® DH Air™ with a 2x1 Twill weave construction, brings trusted protection into a significantly lighter, more wearable format.

The material is a patented Tri-Blend innovative weave consisting of TENCEL™ Lyocell, Modacrylic and Aramid fibres alongside anti-static components. Unlike fabrics treated with topical chemicals, Westex® DH Air™ protective properties are inherent to the fibres, meaning the FR/AR protection will never wash or wear out over the life of the garment.

 

Thermal Protective Performance (TPP)

NFPA 70E PPE Category 2: Compliant protection against electrical arc flashes - ATPV 9.1 cal/cm2.

NFPA 2112: Independently certified for flash fire protection, helping to reduce body burn percentages during a thermal incident.

Optimised Moisture Management: The fabric incorporates permanent moisture-wicking technology that rapidly absorbs and dissipates perspiration to significantly minimise the risk of heat stress. 

High Breathability: The specific TENCEL™ blend allows air to flow freely, keeping wearers cool in extreme summer heat and preventing perspiration-chill when layering in winter.

The fabric is designed to maintain its colour consistency and after-wash appearance over time, while resisting heavy pilling. 

Westex® DH Air™ Hi Vis Yellow is ANSI/ISEA 107 compliant, providing visible safety across a 24-hour workday.

Description - The DRIFIRE® DH Air™ FR/AR Vented Work Shirt features a vent design that actively allows hot air to exit the garment creating cooling and breathability. The covered back mesh panel wicks perspiration away while increasing mobility and performance.

  • Sizes: SM to 3X (RG), MD to 3X (TL).
  • MOQ - 10 units (across different sizes to reach MOQ).
  • Read the garment label and launder per instructions on garment label.
  • Machine wash warm on maximum 60°C (140°F). Use mild detergent. Tumble dry on medium setting.
  • DO NOT iron, use chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, fabric softener or starch.
  • Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain fabric performance when the garment becomes soiled with dirt, grease or oils.
  • If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of the garment.
