NASCO Omega FR™ 

The Omega FR™ 5000 Series is the first waterproof, windproof and breathable outerwear product that combines high visibility worker conspicuity with protection from the thermal hazards associated with an electric arc and hydrocarbon flash fires. Intended for use by electric and gas utilities as well as the oil and gas industry, Omega FR™ is designed for today's multi-hazard work environment. Omega FR™ offers NFPA 70E CAT 2, NFPA 2112 and high visibility protection.

The Omega FR™ outer shell system is DuPont™ Omega FR™ Hi Vis and Nomex® IIIA on a PTFE moisture barrier, while an inner layer of Nomex® Jersey knit provides the wearer with increased thermal protection.

APPLICATION: Gas and Electric Transmission and Distribution, Telecommunications and CATV, Storm Restoration, Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Switching and Meter Service.

  • Fabric - Outer Shell: Omega FR™/Nomex® IIIA, Inside: Nomex® Jersey Knit.

  • NFPA 70E HRC - NFPA 70E CAT 2.
  • ASTM F2733 Flash Fire - 12.3% Body Burn, 3 second test exposure with 2 cal/cm2 heat flux.
  • ANSI 107 High Visibility - FY and FO are ANSI 107 Class 3, Level 2. FO also meets CSA Z96.
  • ASTM E96 - Breathable data, E96 g/m2/24 hrs.
  • Options - NASCO has the ability to create high quality corporate images using ink silk-screening, single and multi-colour heat transfers and reflective logos using 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective material.
