Reducing the risk of heat stress is not just a matter of safety, but also of worker compliance. When the risk of heat stress is too high, workers tend to cheat and wear garments non-compliantly or may not just wear them at all.

When it comes to the battle against heat stress and FR/AR PPE, there are four main pillars to consider - lightweight, breathable, moisture wicking and minimal dry time. At GlenGuard, they look at how these elements work together to form a performance fabric for the battle against heat stress.

Description - The DRIFIRE® Horizon Work Shirt line is ultra-lightweight and delivers trusted CAT 2, 12 Cal protection, durable construction and all-day comfort. The difference is simple: the vented work shirt adds a vent designed to help release heat and keep the wearer cooler in hot environments. 

  • NFPA 70E for Arc Flash, UL Certified to NFPA 2112 for Flash Fire, ASTM F1506 for Arc Flash, CSA Z462 for Arc Flash (Canada), OSHA 1910.269.

  • MOQ - 10 units (across different sizes to reach MOQ).
  • Read the garment label and launder per instructions on garment label.
  • Machine wash warm on maximum 60°C (140°F). Use mild detergent. Tumble dry on medium setting.
  • DO NOT iron, use chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, fabric softener or starch.
  • Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain fabric performance when the garment becomes soiled with dirt, grease or oils.
  • If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of the garment.
