DRIFIRE® Prime® FR Base Layers

DRIFIRE® Prime® FR Base Layers provide the optimal combination of moisture management, arc flash protection, flame resistance and comfort. DRIFIRE® Prime™ FR 6.5oz/220gsm - 4.9 CAL.

Base Layers are crucial protection in arc flash and flash fire environments because they act as a vital safety net that prevents severe, life-threatening burn injuries if the outer flame resistant garment fails or is breached. While outer PPE protects against the initial bast or flash, FR/AR base layers provide essential 'second-layer' thermal protection, moisture management and a non-melting barrier that protects from intense heat and pressure.

Whether you need extra protection or an extra layer to pull perspiration away, DRIFIRE® Prime® FR base layers have you covered. The lightweight breathable fabric and moisture management technology offers maximum comfort and odour control technology to help you stay focused on the job at hand. The premium four-way stretch fabric of DRIFIRE® Prime® FR provides maximum flexibility, style and comfort.

Base layer protection plays an essential role protecting workers against serious and more common nuisance burns. In dangerous situations, base layers add an additional layer of defence next to the skin, which can buy the wearer critical time to escape hazards without severe or life-threatening injuries. Base layers are designed to be worn underneath regular workwear and serve in managing moisture by wicking perspiration away from the skin. By keeping the wearer dry, base layer protection helps regulate the body's temperature and prevents workers feeling uncomfortable in challenging conditions.
