100% FR Cotton Duck, DWR with Quilted Liner (13oz/440gsm | 10.5oz/356gsm)

On its own, a single layer of 13oz FR Cotton Duck provides an ATPV of around 16 cal/cm2. This means it protects against incident thermal energy levels far exceeding the standard 8 cal/cm2 minimum threshold required for NFPA 70E Category 2 compliance. The fabric is engineered to meet NFPA 2112 flash fire certification standards. This guarantees that the fabric will not ignite, melt or continue to burn once the flame source is removed, significantly lowering body burn percentages.

100% Cotton Duck Is a heavy, tightly woven fabric known for its exceptional durability and snag resistance. The Durable Water Repellent (DWR)  finish applied to the outer shell causes water to bead up and roll off.

Key Advantages

  • High Arc Thermal Performance: The 13oz weight is heavy enough to achieve substantial stand alone arc ratings, easily reaching CAT 2 and higher (when paired with other FR/AR fabrics).
  • Char Formation: Upon contact with intense heat, the treated natural Cotton fibres rapidly carbonise to form a thick, protective ash layer. This layer acts as a thermal barrier, blocking heat transfer to the wearer's skin.
  • No Melting or Molten Dripping. Secondary burns are eliminated - the fabric does not melt and fuse to the wearer's skin when exposed to extreme heat.
  • Slag and Spark Shedding: The tight, smooth Duck weave naturally deflects welding sparks, hot embers and minor molten metal splashes, preventing the heat from burning through the garment.

The DRIFIRE® FR/AR Deluxe Insulated Bib Overall is dual certified to protect against arc flash and flash fire hazards. The water repellent Duck helps shed moisture while the lightweight quilted Liner keeps you warm. This Bib Overall features convenient disconnect adjustable buckles at each shoulder strap and 26" zipper calf closure for easy boot entry and also features plenty of pockets to carry what you need close at hand.

The DRIFIRE® FR/AR Deluxe Unlined Bib Overall (without the Quilt Liner) is your go-to in durability and functionality. Features include ten different pockets, double chap front for extra durability, plus openings to insert knee pads. Quick disconnect straps and extra long FR leg zippers make this Bib Overall easy to get on, even without taking off your boots.

Both Bib Overall types provide exceptional NFPA 70E arc flash and NFPA 2112 flash fire protection.

  • Read the garment label and launder per instructions on garment label.
  • Machine wash warm on maximum 60°C (140°F). Use mild detergent. Tumble dry on medium setting.
  • DO NOT iron, use chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, fabric softener or starch.
  • Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain fabric performance when the garment becomes soiled with dirt, grease or oils.
  • If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of the garment.
